I’m Kali, a Zambian-British neuroscientist who is also a fantasy artist. My background in science and mental health informs much of my work: I explore neurodivergence, resilience, and healing through imaginative worlds. With Kalinyongene, I wanted to create clothing and art that feel good on the outside while affirming who we are on the inside.

Kalinyongene grew from the belief that art should be a mirror and a tool: reflecting who we are while helping us imagine new futures. Every design blends folklore, identity, and playfulness with a deep care for inclusivity and representation.
